Margaritaville Panama City Beach Florida

Just down the road from where we’re staying in Seacrest Beach, FL is Panama City Beach and no vacation trip here would be complete without at least stopping in Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Panama City Beach. Margaritaville is a bar, store and restaurant right on the strip known as Front Beach Road. It is located at the entrance of Pier Park, a mega shopping, restaurant and entertainment complex for vacationing beachgoers.

For Parrotheads, Margaritaville is the epitome of the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle and is not to be missed when visiting the Florida Panhandle. The restaurant features a huge deck that overlooks the blue and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The inside of the restaurant is painted up to look like a beach scene complete with the floor painted like water, and the walls painted in tropical sunset motif and there is also a dive boat in the middle of the restaurant that you can sit in and enjoy your lunch or dinner if you are the patron lucky enough to snag it when it’s empty.

Towards the back of the restaurant is the stage complete with sound system and drum set waiting for the daily entertainment at 4:30 and 9:00 pm. And last but not least is the store featuring flip flops, Jimmy Buffett clothing and of course supplies for mixing and enjoying your choice of adult beverages.

There are other Margaritaville’s in Orlando and Las Vegas, but if you want to totally get into the Jimmy Buffett thing, what could be better that visiting the one that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico? Well, maybe enjoying a pomegranate margarita to go along with it? It was only 11:00 when we had lunch, but hey, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?
